PRESENTATION: The goal of this workshop is to gain an understanding of the Four Performance Domains (Ethical Responsibility, Advocacy, Mentoring & Education, Recovery & Wellness Support) that define the role of a Certified Recovery Support Worker (CRSW) and Recovery Coach. Participants will discuss the differences between the Four Performance Domains and the Licensed Alcohol & Drug Counselors Core Competencies. Participants will engage in an informed discussion around role clarity and role responsibilities. Participants will discuss the differences between peer collaboration and peer supervision for CRSWs.
As a result of this training participants will be able to:
- Describe the 4 performance domains relative to the recovery supports and the CRSW credential
- explain how to utilize the performance domains in the supervision of peer supporters
- Differentiate between the 4 performance domains and core competencies;
- Describe the Scope of Service for a CRSW
PRESENTER: Ginger Ross is the founder & CEO of NH Recovery Coach Academy & Choices Recovery Training. Ginger has worked in the peer recovery field since 2015 and is a grassroots pioneer in developing the movement in NH. She is recognized nationally for her passion, expertise, and leadership in the peer recovery coach profession. She has her BA in Psychology, holds the state CRSW credential and the national NCRPSS credential. Ginger’s passion is to educate community partners around SUD and recovery to improve social justice.
