Motivational Interviewing (MI) is an effective communication tool to help people living with mental illness, addictions, and other chronic conditions make positive behavioral changes to support their overall health. Based on four fundamental processes — engaging, focusing, evoking, and planning — it provides a framework for creating a dialogue about behavior change. Topics in this training will include:
