More and more, today’s youth are openly self-identifying as Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, questioning their sexuality and gender identity, Intersex, Asexual, Two-spirited (LGBTQIA2+). Though recently there has been a lot of dialogue regarding systemic oppression and other traumas based on culture and race and over the past ten years significant inroads have been made to increase awareness and competency in matters of culture and race, LGBTQIA2+ youth are oftentimes overlooked or excluded from the discussion.
