PRESENTATION: This workshop will provide an overview of the use of behavioural strategies for both emotional regulation and management of neurobehavioural and neurocognitive impairments in an addictions setting. A phased model of care will be introduced that integrates Harm reduction strategies, Community Reinforcement Approach (CRA), as well as behavioural skills training. The first section of the workshop will provide background information for the models to be discussed. The remainder of the workshop will take a case-based approach to the application of models of intervention within existing resources. Learners should be ready to participate in case-based problem-solving and discussion.
