Xylazine – An Introduction to a New Drug

This lecture will discuss xylazine contamination in the current opioids. Xylazine history, pharmacology, clinical effects, and epidemiology will be discussed. Xylazine’s contribution to the opioid epidemic, withdrawal, and treatment of patients with OUD will be reviewed.
